    RE: Let him go

He's played well this season but we are going to be in a dogfight next year and he doesnt seem up for it to me. Hes been sending out all the wrong signals. Just getting promoted and telling his team mates he wants 5 or 6 of them replacing isnt good.

if his heart isnt in it then hes best going somewhere else although i dont think hull will be challenging for anything next year

If i were his team mates id be well pised off at what he said ,if he has so much faith in them let him go but make sure we sign Chopra .

It was the same with him last season,we only need about 3 players most of the squad is good enough.

The starting XI's good, but we've very little back up - we need at least 4 plus replacements for any we lose if you ask me.

Don't forget we've got rid of Carbon, Vaughan, Burns and Conlon from last year's squad.

I'll go along with that....replace any we get rid of or lose in the summer and see how it goes. We can always add to the squad if things don't work out over the first part of the season. 4 players to replace the 4 already left, plus replacements for McPhail and Shuker should they leave and i think we'll be ok.

I agree Mcphail seems to be a little unsettled and with comments like we need players to come in then i'll see.I get the impression that who ever comes in i think he'll go regardless.

If his heart is not in it why keep an unhappy player.

Every season players come and go thats the way football is ,but to tell the management what to do after the season we have had,i know if i was the manager and he telled me what to do(givinfinger)

    Doesn't make sense to me.

Why say that he does not want to be involved in a relegation dog fight and then consider moving to Hull. Didn't exactly set the Championship on fire last season did they.

I think he has to repond to OUR written offer within four weeks

We'll know by the end of this month.

I can't really blame him for "hedging his bets", but (unlike last season) he can't leave it quite so late this time.

I agree with Jpurno we played far too many times with patched up teams last year do'nt think we would get away with it in the championship,we need a bit of strengthening and more depth

Look at the voting for the MOTM against Swansea.....if he's so good, why isn't he top ???

Not bothered if he stays or goe's
Good player but he stroles around a lot
He can pass a ball but he is not a box to box player
Commentators on Swansea match say during the match on several occasions that Barnsleys midfield is being dominated by the Swansea pair

    Mcphail is class

so he didn't get man of the match at Swansea big deal. anyone who as watched the reds with any regularity since at least Christmas will appreciate the contribution that Mcphail made towards the play off push.

    RE: Mcphail is class

I have been to many matches since Christmas and seen no contribution towards Barnsley by McPhail. However, he did contribute a lot to the opposition. Very kind of him...
