The ball he played on the outside of his left foot on the half volley which released Shuker on our right wing early on was absolutely SUBLIME/STUNNING.

    not a chance

You have to have the balls to shoot from 20 yards out in the premiership

probably not premiership standard quite yet but he is head and shoulders above anyone else in the squad in terms of ability and talent

Why havent we offered him a new contract?

we are waiting to see which division we will be in. WTF Mcphail will be awesome in the Champioship so i dont see why it applies to him. what Gordon Shepherd is doing is very risky, losing a valuable asset like Mcphail for £0 would make my blood boil and be very, very bad business. Hes a joy to watch.

How long since is it he was Mc .Frail to most on this board?

The reason he is not in the Premiership or the Championship is because he is NOT good enough. He is annonymous for too much of the time, passes back which often puts defenders under needless pressure & is not up to much on the tackling department. Positives are that he is one of those players that seems to get free kicks his way & he has come on this season. He can make pin point passes but not enough of them per match. BUT, I think there are a lot of rose tinted spectacles worn when certain people post about him on here.

Bit harsh. What he does often lack is a quick ball for the forwards. With Nardiello permanently on the shoulder of the last defender, a player of McPhails quality should be able to release him in time to be onside. Never seems to happen, though, too busy pirouetting on his right peg.

He's on big money, I heard when we got him Leeds used to pay a percentage of his wages the first year he was here.

He proberbly is'nt too keen to take a pay cut.

Now his best mate's gone I think to No 10 shirt will be avaialble next season.

Don't get me wrong I'd love him to stay, just dont think he will. As you say he could leave for nowt, and I dont think anyone as good as him will come in.
