"allegedly"...ho ho you could see on Satdy he doesn't have a left foot. But I've a cunning theory (Baldrick). The extra time it takes to cut back and switch it onto his right foot gives BBB time to get into box...which he did to decent effect in the 1st half on Satdy (should have had 2 pens for a start). Or am I crediting Ritchie with too much on this? perversely, I saw Christopher Shuker deliver a wicked cross in the 2nd half when he played on left and cut back onto his right foot. Thus, maybe he CAN cross, as long as he doesn't have to run at the same time (a smaller, whiter, slower, less tricky version of Franz Carr? Remember him?)
Satdy I jokingly said that MOTM was Chris Shuker , imagine my surprise when the vertically/crossingly challenged one got MOTM. What game were the voters watching. I am tired of going on about Shuker , but ridiculous MOTM awards like Satdy just serve to rile me. I am hoping Devaney is just short of match practice , and when he gets a few games under his belt his performances will improve accordingly.
RE: "McPhail McPhail and Burns played brilliantly on sat, y change a good partnership? n y was robbie out?
I assume he was injured , he was our only threat down the left on Satdy. I prefer him on the left hand side of midfield, hence our need to sign a left back so we can push him forwards. Austin cannot play left back.
