Yeah definately best passer of a football sideways. Would rather have Howard, half as cheap twice as good
A Couple Of Observations About The Chanting Towards Him 1. I don't think he really cared. 2. His name is Stephen and not Steve. 3. Most guys are ******* to be honest I thought he had a great game, but was lucky to get away with two different incidents after his yellow. Showed himself to be a true professional by not rising to the bait. Especially when he went to fetch the ball from down by the East Stand.
Country mile? Best player on the park I'll give you but not by much. We matched Cardiff in every department today and were exceptional value for the point.
He should have definately been off if the referee had followed the same rules for booking our players for late challenges (three in a row) yet when McFrail did it to Howard 1st half free kick nowt else. Fair play to the ref he tried his hardest for Cardiff to win.
Don't forget the late challenge in the first half McPhail should have walked, but the ref bottled it.
Disapointed That......... at full time it should have been all about the team, but instead a small portion of the Ponty end thought they would waste time chanting one last time to him.
They have every right to Pay his wages for two years and he does **** all for most of it, then decides to wind us up when they score? I didn't really care about him before, just think he's a complete ****** now.
RE: They have every right to He was part of a promotion squad and gets booed. We have had much worse players come back in the past and get clapped. I don't blame him being happy with taking the league against an old team with a crowd of disrespectful people. Anyhow it's over now so not to worry.
RE: They have every right to Even though I think you're nothing but a wind up merchant, I'll respond... The fact is he didn't put hardly any effort with us, only when he could be bothered. I think that without him we'd have still been right up there, and after telling everyone that he "was sad he didn't take the last penalty because he KNEW he was going to leave", he was hardly commited. Anyway, only a very small section were booing him, until he started his stupid antics when they scored.
It was the fact he said that he knew he was leaving before the Playoff final - hardly commitment to the cause, is it? Aside from that, his gesturing at the Barnsley fans when they scored was just stupidity - about the only thing the referee correctly spotted.
RE: They have every right to Only a small section? The one greedy Barsteward chants seemed loud for a small portion He was almost a regular when we went up and then changed jobs for more money which people do all the time. It's just when a football player does it, it's highlighted much more.
He tried to leave the summer before that didn't he? But, no-one was prepared to match the rediculous contract ridsdale had given him at bfc - so at the very last minute, he used his option to extend for another season.
I guess i was watching a different game to everyone else on here then cause i thought that Howard had the beating of Mcphail all afternoon and apart from a few good passes didn't really have a good game. But hey everyones views differ.
