Is it genuine or has he added malingering to all the other talents that make him the "quality" player that he undoubtedly is.(wnkr)

Why post negative stuff after a 3-0 win?

    Some people bemuse me.

We are a better team without McPhail playing.
We play at a faster pace.

    Yes

Being in Scotland means I'm not allowed an opinion.

McPhail is not our best player.

Your opinion. ( Is the punctuation ok there ).

And it's your opinion that he is our best player

Just because he's your favourite player?

He's not my favourite player, or my most hated player, but he definitely isn't our best.

I simply asked a question. How is that a negative posting? I have an opinion and I just wondered if anyone shared it.
My own personal wish, is that he stays injured for the rest of the season because the team is better balanced and more successful without him. Strangely enough, it was last season as well.

    We win a match..

Why even mention a player that didn't play?

Praise the players that did. There is no reason to suggest that we wouldn't have won if McPhail had played.

I have nothing but praise for the ones who played. It just shows what you can do when you have a full team out on the park instead of 10 trying and 1 being carried.
Think about your last statement! How many games have we played this season? How many of them have we won? How many of the ones that we won did McPhail play in? and I don't mean how many did he make an appearance in.

    Sorry..

But over the course of a season, if you think Stephen McPhail is going to be less influential than Nicky Wroe, you've been sat in an institution for 50 years.

People formed conceptions about McPhail last season and have ignored that hes played well this season.

We've lost 3. He didn't play at Swansea. So basically we've lost 2 games he's played. And won 2 aswell.

    Whats your point?

It is amazing how people can judge players who hardly attend any matches. OK, have a favourite player, but dont judge players from a few attendances.

If he was that good, he'd have been snapped up over the summer.

I'm good at my job. What if I turn into work and decide not to do it because I feel in a leisurely mood? How good am I then?

    RE: Sorry..

Read my last sentence again and then tell me what contribution McPhail made in the games that we lost and the games that we won. How many goals did he score and how many did he make for other people. How many goal scoring chances did he produce. I wont ask you how many chances he gave to the opposition because you wont have enough fingers to count them on.
He cannot continue to live on the fact that he once played in the Champions League for Leeds United. He has to start and earn his place and his money.
Just for the record, I have never advocated that Wroe take his place but I would be quite happy for Tonge or Kay or Kell (when he's fit)to fill the other central midfield place along side Burns. The job is too big for McPhail!
