Tell us how the move came about.

Sure. I'd spoken with the gaffer (Dave) and he put me in good spirits and made me feel quite welcome. He gave me a good insight on what he wants to achieve - promotion. That's what I'm here for.

How did Dave sell the Club to you?

With the players coming in and the squad as well as the new stadium. It's now something that I believe in just as much as he does. He sold it quite easily really.

And of course you'll start off your Bluebirds career with an old mate from your time in League One also.

Yeah, I played with Chops at Barnsley when he was on loan with us for a couple of months. He's a good lad, player and a goal scorer, so hopefully he'll settle in quite quickly as well.

The fixtures came out and we thought of you straight away when the Oakwell trip came up first. It looks like it was meant to be.

It was always going to happen that one, wasn't it?! I'm looking forward to it, going back there especially after the great year there last year. I finished on a high there, will probably get loads of stick, but I'm looking forward to it anyway.

You may get some stick from your old fans, but the Cardiff fans will no doubt be impressed with your recent Play-Off victory.

Well I hope so. I'm sure that they'll come around to me quite quickly. As you said it was a massive game against Swansea, for Barnsley as well as Cardiff as the fans look at it. So it was good to do that and I'm sure they'll be on my side, hopefully.

We understand that you were the next in line for a penalty in the Millennium Stadium also! Is that right?

Yeah I was. Actually I was hoping that I was going to get to take it. It would have been really nice to have finished on a high note like that. It just wasn't meant to be, but that's just the way it goes.

The comment on the penalty shootout "It would have been nice to finish on a high note like that" does suggest he wasn't planing to stay. What's this new stadium he talks of then? Would that be the one they don't have any funding for?!
RE: The comment on the penalty shootout He comments about actually wanting to score the winner. So does that mean he was hoping Colgan wasn't going to save that pen ?
RE: played with Chops for a couple of months -was on the pitch with chops for a couple of months- would be more apt than "played"
