I can't get the Barnsley player to work on the iPad, so I'm listening to the BBC commentary. It may as well be Cardiff player I'm listening to, because the commentators are using every chance to belittle us and big Cardiff up. W@nkers!
thats what i had on, thought they should be impartial? would sooner have had keith edwards and brian the blade on!
I'd had enough of Claridge by half time so I switched back to the AM coverage on radio Sheffield. I'm sure I heard him call us Barnet at one point and the final straw was when he compared us to Brighton and said they were vastly superior as an attacking force. Utter bellend.
Here here, both of em seem to have a orgasm, every time Cardiff went on a attack or touched the ball......
The commentary was a disgrace. Very bias and neither knew jack **** about us. Claridge is an utter bell end.
Well tbh I listend to that aswel and thought they were complimentary to the the way we played football! Fair enough they were talking up Cardiff which is understandable as there top of league
Thought it was pretty fair, gave us plenty of praise once we started to play football. Get those chips of your shoulders lads.
I was listening on radio Wales and you expect it to be biased. But to be fair, I think the coverage was balanced, and who cares given the result - YOU REDS!!!!!!!

I thought he got it right about us attacking, being our natural game, what we are comfortable with and not defending in numbers. He also said we should have attacked from the off because we would have put Cardiff under pressure the way we play. I agreed with him but then I aint the manager and cant be critical of much Flicker and Co have done since the turn of the year. A point a piece at Palace and Cardiff in the space of 4 days, musent grumble, musent grumble.
Yeah, they were fine about Barnsley, especially the way we defended until half time. They were right though, Cardiff took their foot off the gas and it cost them.
I said to myself before we went into the two away games, that 2 points would be a good return, more than that would be amazing and less than that to be expected. Well done to the team and the management. Keep this lot together, slightly strengthened in the summer (not too much to dilute the cohesiveness that has built up) and next season could be a great one.
When we played MK Dons Claridge was the summarizer he was very complimentary. He said that the performance was of the standard of a good premier league club.
He was really annoying me in added time, he made a point of saying we'd gone past the 5 minutes, every 10 seconds. Didn't hide from the fact he clearly wanted Cardiff to hold on. I kept thinking to myself, has he forgotten about the 2 minutes where McNaughton was down with 'cramp' just inside injury time?
In my defence, I posted at half-time. Even then, I thought it was the other commentator that took the lead in praising Barnsley's efforts, forcing Claridge to concede we had improved. At the end of the game it was the other commentator who said that on the balance of play in the last half hour we deserved our point, which caused Claridge to start spluttering somewhat. I don't mind the commentators saying who they feel is playing better, as it certainly sounded like we took a hammering in the first half, but I do think Claridge only seemed interested in watching Cardiff and appeared to want them to win.
I agree with your last bit, this season feels like the prelude to something special, I can feel it in my water.
