Coming from down south for this one. Been told there's a train from Meadowhall to hillsborough? Anyone ever done this route? Will have my young ones with me so would like to know also if it's fairly safe?

    Cheers in advance

It's the tram to Middlewood. Full of home fans, but safe as long as you're not looking for trouble.

You can shave a good bit off the journey by travelling to Sheffield station (tram-stop is called 'Sheffield Station/Sheffield Hallam University') and proceeding from there rather than do the whole thing from Meadowhall.

Ball-ache if you're driving though. (I assumed park and ride at Meadow-hell)

True, that - I can't drive, and I forget that others do!

Wednesday fans will get off at Hillsborough Park. The next stop, Leppings Lane, is better for away fans.

Last time I went, walked from Train station via Pond Street bus station and got the tram at Castlegate, No probs whatsoever.
