for anyone who doesnt know where that is, its the area where the new estates have been built where slazengers use to be
yer slazengers the cricket bat lol, n ner its measbrough dyke mate dunt no what kendrays like, was just going threw and all of a sudden went black and kids running all over place as though they had done it(not blaming them of course)
Weird last 25 mins here............ Street lights and light up snicket at side of my house been out 2nite When i posted about the lights here, the tv and internet decided to pack up. 1st time thats happened. Tried using my mobile and that wouldn't even work saying network was busy. R lass tried hers and same thing. TV and internet from Virgin. O2 for the mobiles Tv and internet came back on, mobiles working and so did the bloody lights all at the same time!!! Very strange
what was that club called... that used to be opposite the slazenger factory? Cos that used to be in Kendray, its only since they knocked it all down and built houses on it that its started calling itself summat poncy.
RE: what was that club called... Club was Toby Jug, It is Mes dyke apparently Kendrey doesn't start until half way across the field. Or that's what my mate used to say when he lived there. There was also a pub that blew up in a gas fiddle! Can't remember name.
Club started off as The Measbrough Dyke WMC. It was an old wooden hut dominated by a full size snooker table, it was a right dive. must have then borrowed a shed load of money and built the new club that went bust (surprise surprise). It then went through various re-encarnations, Benders, The Toby Jug, probably others I dont know about (saw Chubby Brown there before he hit the big time). The pub was called The Pinder Oaks, when it blew up we were asleep and it shook the house and thought it was an earthquake. Apparently!!!!!! the landlord and his wife had gone to a night club and their dogs were somewere else so nobody got hurt but the pub was razed to the ground phew, that was lucky wasn't it!!!!.
