Look North last night at half ten - all Leeds Utd and council not giving them money to buy back stadium, and not a mention of our result.
Talk sport - this morning - lets talk about championship last night - West Brom etc again nothing on our result.
Have just emailed both shows to ask why no report on us so lets see what they come back with.

Sky were pretty fair last night Watched sky sports news for over an hour and they showed our goals 3 times and Daveneys second a couple more than that and gave us the level of coverage I would have expected
I listened to Talk Sport this morning, they had Peter Beagrie commenting about last nights Championship matches ( about 9:20), he, Mickey Quinnand Graham Beecroft were very complimentary about Barnsleys performance, Devaney, in particularly.
Beecroft, went on to talk about Oakwell and the improvements made to the stadium, over the last few years.

They'll probably come back with... Barnsley F.C. have a hostile media policy so we'd rather eat **** and die.
and so they should be, Devaney's second strike reminded me of goals the Dutch used to score back in the seventies when they would hit it from anywhere, amazing strike.
Get him signed up for next season.

Sky Sports News........ are just as bad. Top of the hour they show Devaney's second saying it's coming up. Then it shows the championship action from the other match, goes to a cricket world cup report, goes on about Chelsea and then 45 minutes after saying were are coming up we get shown at quarter to the other hour without any reaction from either manager. They even talked about scrapping draws to 3 or the 4 managers from the championship last night. Guess which manager missed out? (N) (N) (N)
Wasting your time and effort mate I've been watching the Reds since the 70s and its always been the same.
I like it that we just seem to go about things without too much fuss or attention. It was like that in 1997, with the media banging on and on about Wolves and how great it would be to have them in the Premiership. Let the media ***** over themselves when Leeds pick up a point away from home. The less pressure there is on us, the better.
Look North Reply Dear Paul
Thanks so much for your email. You are absolutely right - the Barnsley score should have been mentioned - and I was just as frustrated as you. There was a technical problem which meant we could not bring it to you. We do hope to use the pictures on our main Look North at 6.30pm tonight and I would be happy to show them again at 10.25pm tonight. I had hoped to give the result a quick mention as part of the 'goodnight' at the end of last night's bulletin but - sod's law - I only had about 3 seconds to say goodbye and it would have meant us crashing back into the national news. I'm sure you'll appreciate there's often a lot going on behind the scenes that create problems and can give viewers the impression we are ignoring a story when actually we're trying hard to keep things on air….a bit like spinning plates!! I know people are extremely passionate about their local football teams and tune to our programmes for results. The BBC did run the score on BBC Radio Sheffield and on our local and sports websites. Apologies once again for not giving the score last night.
Best wishes Ian White Senior Broadcast Journalist/Presenter BBC Look North Leeds

RE: Look North Reply Sounds fair enough. But if they dont show it tonight maybe we should go and burn the studio down.
Well we were on & the headline sports news on Look North but Christa face was a picture when she changed the subject inevitably to Leeds
