Now, I'll be the first to admit that at the best of times I don't rate Mellis. His touch sometimes lets him down and he appears to be a bit lazy defensively. However, just look at how many of our goals he has assisted this season - his stats speak for themselves.

I don't know how many he has actually set up, but having watched the highlights of all the games this season I'd be surprised if it wasn't over 80%.

I think I read he has 10 assists. So seeing as we have scored what 15 that makes him the creator for 2/3 of our goals.

He got 3 against Birmingham, and at that point he'd got 5 in total and had the most in the league.

Number one in the league the last stats I saw. Development. Layering. Patience.

And this is the point - he's had a bit of a dip in form lately. Same with Cwyka. When they're back firing we'll be reight.

7 assists, best in the division. Add his goals to that and we see probably our most influential player. He may appear lazy at times but we haven't got anyone else who is anywhere near as good in the final 3rd.
