Why isn't he starting? Baffling. Much better player than JOB.

Better than Tunnicliffe. Waste of a shirt two games running.

They aren't really competing for the same place though. Mellis and JOB are competing for the AM slot, the creative player. Tunnicliffe is in competition with Perkins/Dawson/Etuhu/Hassell, he shouldn't get in the team once everyone's fit.

Mellis behind Harewood and Daggers will get us lots of goals. Just need Perkins and Etuhu behind him then.

Totally agree - Mellis has a touch of class and can thread a ball through for the front two. O'Brien works hard but is essentially a pub player...

Said this for weeks, but was told I was being harsh on O'Brien.

How must Mellis feel, with double figure assists and 4 goals to his name, getting overlooked by an average right winger...? And then seeing a kid from United go straight in ahead of him, too.

    Proper management, that.

I don't know what JOB is giving us right now, he had another poor game today but will probably start on Tuesday.

O'Brien was woeful first half. Mellis was excellent when he came on

Harsh yes, on todays performance no O`Brien was not alone in his crapness and yes Mellis should start in front of him in the centre always its where he belongs. Mellis was took out in the past because it weakened a 4 in midfield but in a five he is badly needed. Horse for courses O`Brien wide in a four changing flanks if need be.

Etuhu and Kennedy looked lost today at times.
