Largely for the Cup Run. And a day out at Wembley.

Davey is a promising manager. He took us over when we were in trouble last season and kept us up. He's done it again this time. The players don't generally display long ball tactics (our dwarf like midfield miltates against this anyway).
Davey tries to make them play attractively.

He swims against the tide in terms of crowd receipts and financial backing.

Definite long past highlights: Promotion under Clarke, and Hunter. Wilson's promotion year and the year after. Basset's playoff.

(I know that after that there was the playoff final in the div. below, but that was the last sneeze of a bad cold)

But this year has got us on the map. Again.

Good year. Who thinks the manager should be sacked?

If you do, put your name on this thread ..........

    Agreed mate.
No way should he be sacked either. We have improved this season on last season, and with some really bad injuries. Next season we shall hopefully be more fortunate with injuries and look to push on again. I reckon we could really push on next season and be looking towards the play-offs. Not that i'd expect it of course, midtable would be a good platform for next year to work towards.

    Should not be sacked

The games against Liverpool and Chelsea will live with me always. With a bit of luck I'll have forgotten all about the league season by August which should ensure I'll be back in the Ponty next season.

Totally agree fella. I thought 60 pts should be our aim this season and finish about 14th. Win next week and we have 58. Can't complain really, even at 55 or 56. We had some really bad luck with injuries. Losing arguably our 2 best players for half a season. Throw in the cup semi and a trip to Wembley and it has been a pretty good season. A few quality additions to this squad and we will be top half. Find a 20 goal striker and we could be playoffs.

The league season? Only the away form. Our home form has been good. The home crowds should be happy with what they have witnessed this season.

Great Season but next season could be even better if.........

It's fine line between being a good Manager and a bad one if we had lost today Davey would have got a lot of stick. I'm sure you would
have a lot wanting him sacked. Lets hope for a improved league postion again next season.
