    Wow the early 80s were such a time, and not just to do with footy!.

    Left school in 81 and went to Wakey tech to do Computer Studies. Didn’t see it through.

    History shows the Reds lost 1-0 at home to Cardiff on 26th September 1981. But I was at another match. (Lady Kaht, as she became, was there too!) :):):)

    Left school and started Willowgarth 6th Form (so I didn't leave school at all!). Saw the Reds get promoted after what I still consider my favourite season ever under Norman Hunter.

    The year of my 17th birthday and finished first full year of my apprenticeship. Also a promotion for the best Reds side of my lifetime. Happy days….

    Fantastic times...well the start of them for me anyway...left st micks, went to 6th form....16 years old...great times at oakwell and had my first pint in channels (scared to death).

    On the 28th of April 1981 we beat Rotherham at home 1-0 courtesy of a Ronnie Glavin goal to clinch promotion to Division 2 ( Today’s Championship) Boy I partied all that night and all the weekend as it was my 21st Birthday on the 29th.
