The highlights of the Premiership season has brought back many memories for me of the time in the mid 90's & onwards for a few years when I used to follow The Reds home & away, regardless of distance or time of week.

One memory is of a bridge over the M1, I think it was in the Luton/Watford area. Someone had graffittied it with "Spowie's got a huge c0ck". Myself & my friends always had a laugh at it when driving past & it became a recognised landmark with my fellow travellers. There was even one instance of a friend falling asleep in the car on the way to a match, waking up & asking where we were. "Just passed Spowie's Bridge" came the reply!

Needless to say, it's been cleaned off now but I wonder how many other Reds fans saw it & remember it?

    That's the one

Never heard of the name "Nemy" before or since. Don't know why but it brings a tear to my eye to think that the guy went to the trouble of writing that on a bridge.

I was always of the opinion that he'd jumped off the bridge after writing it.

That is just an opinion, it's not even based in urban myth.

Sounds like something from Finbarr Saunders (and his double entendres).

    :)

    Not sure about him

But I do remember reading in the Chron, a story under the headline "Peter Pan appears in Barnsley Magistrates Court". It went on to say that when asked by the Clerk of the Court, he said no. When asked what it was, he said that it was now "Arthur Two Sheds Luxury Yacht Ptang Ptang Biscuit Barrel Over The Top Jackson"! :D

Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

    I've always liked that sketch

Where there's 2 blokes in a dockland setting, dancing around & slapping each other round the face with fish! Totally stupid but makes me laugh every time!

    4 Yorkshiremen my favourite

    for obvious reasons.

I still say "you were lucky" and "cardboard box?" all the time for no apparent reason!
