None of the selection have really rocked my boat .....
I've only bought one of the Albums - a signed copy of Field Music... plus two of Richard Hawleys "single club collection" ...... I might give the Alt-J and Django Django a visit though ...
    Thoughts?

Mercury Prize seems to always tend to go a lesser known act anyway, but I'd tip Alt J to win it

Love Richard Hawley's album, seeing him in Leeds in a couple of weeks. plus his session with the Philharmonic is mega.

Quite like Ben Howard and Lianne La Havas but that's about it. never listened to Alt J so I'll turn mi Lighthouse Family CD off nar and give em a whirl.

I don't have any interest in the types of bands or artists who get nominated for this award.

Really like Ben Howard's album as well as The Maccabees who are great live. Just started listening to Django Django recently.

You're not on your own Jay, not heard of anything in this thread.

Edit - except Lighthouse Family, I did actually have one of their albums, 1st one.

Last word in your op - "thoughts?"

    They are my thoughts.

Can take or leave majority of the nominees. Like the Django Django and Hawley records though.

There's been some stunning winners in the past. Still love Hour of the Bewilderbeast by Badly Drawn Boy, and I am a Bird Now by Antony and The Johnsons is my second favourite album of all time

    Me neither

Except Plan B cos he's in The Sweeney and so was on the 'Wittertainment' podcast.

I'm a musical dinosaur now. "All this new stuff is just noise" etc.
