Its no good giving Davey a pocket full of change and saying buy something with that
It dosen't work like that in this league.
Davey has bought cheap. He bought a goalkeeper cheep. Back 4 cheap and midfield fairly cheap.
He has formed these into a decent defence and midfield.

As for the strikers he bought cheep, unfortunatly he hasn't been able to form these into credible Championship strikers.
You cant buy Championship strikers at £200k or £400k and hope they will turn out OK.
Simon Davey has done his best with these strikers but unfortunatly they are not up to the job.

Its time now to bring some quality in to the attack, and we need at least two.........this is going to cost

I thought we'd spent £1.2m on Hume? And another £1.2m on Mostto, Christensen and Odejayi the summer before. That's nearly two and a half million quid, Nudger, spent just on strikers. How many Championship clubs do you think have spent more than that on strikers in the last 15 months? Patrick Cryne's funding to the manager has been well above what could be expected.

I'll write a thank you letter to Mr Cryne if he gets rid of Davey and brings in:

1. A decent manager
2. A striker who is able to score goals

All the others are cheap buys to make up the numbers i.e. Mostto, Odejayi, Macken
SD has done his best to turn these cheap strikers into Championship strikers.
He has worked wonders getting cheap players to fill other departments in the squad but he has failed to make this happen regarding these cheap strikers.

You cant blame SD for that...........he is only working within the budget he has got.
£400k for a striker!!! that is league 1 kind of money. Maken and Odejayi were even cheaper than that.
Clubs do not sell strikers for £200 to 400k if they are any good.
That is why he had nothing to lose playing Lazurus

Give Davey the money to bring two quality strikers to the club and we have the making of a very good side

to me says he has backed him and lets be honest Mackens wages will not be cheap either, the buck stops with the manager, he knows his budegt he has to work with what he has got!

We'd all love to splash the cash but SD has spent his fair share compared to previous managers so to ask this of PC is nothing short of plain stupid, have a reality check.

Macken was transfered to the Prem for £5m not so long ago, so that's wrong isn't it!

SD cant do anything unless he has the quality to work with.

The defence will concede time after time if the strikers cant score, because once the oposition know a team cant score (no matter how much possession we have) they pile forward to kill the game and eventually will score
As it happened Norwich didn't, but came very close. If Norwich had scored one goal we would have collapsed.

And this is what is happening at Barnsley game after game after game.
The best form of defence is attack.

There aren't any ffs. That's half the problem. I bet Cryne wishes he'd never got involved in running BFC.
I for one don't expect him to stump up any more cash. Unfortunately the Howard fee will go straight in Davey's back pocket when he eventually departs. No matter who the new manager turns out to be we are in deep ****. Fact.

We need a chairman for starters, what sort of club doesn't bother having a chairman?? Who is going to appoint a new manager because as far as I can see PC doesn't want much to do with the running of the football side of the club. This worries me as Davey has to go now and I don't think Cryne will do whats needed. We need a change and fast, for me theres only one ma and thats Billy Davies.</p>
