Please can we concentrate on the candidates who have actually applied for the job?
To be turned down once by an out of work manager is unfortunate. To be turned down again, by a manager currently working in the bloody joke that is the Scottish league is embarrassing to say the least. To risk being turned down a third time would just turn us into a complete laughing stock.
    Just an observation like.....

Says a lot about what they actually think of the 30 or so candidates who actually applied.

what's to say that if we do Sit down with someone who as applied that they would accept the position once they learn of the restraints they would have to work under

They're going after the people they think are right for the job

If it turns out they're aiming too high then that's a shame but I for one am not going to knock them for it. I certainly don't want them to accept second best just so that supporters of other clubs can't take the piss about it.

I don't think that money would be an issue with Butcher though, as from what I can gather from reading the ICT forum he is financially secure from property investments.
