I don't understand people's excitement over this game? - Not that long ago City spent several years in a lower division than us - We've played them at the Etihad twice (I think) and got hammered - The chances of us actually beating them are zero Seeing as loads of people who don't know where Oakwell is will be falling over themselves to get tickets for this game, the club should use that to their advantage and insist that a Wolves stub gets second priority after season tickets. I know some people are annoyed that they've invested in the club by buying a season ticket yet they can only buy one ticket - the club needs to keep this policy as in the past, ie Liverpool, a lot of the people that went were definitely not Oakwell regulars and had used their mates/family members season ticket voucher.
the wolves incentive disappears now. we needed a home game or old trafford, to use that. the city tickets won't get beyond ST holders. non-ST holders don't stand a chance of getting a ticket
Totally agree on this point. We should be making the Wolves and Bolton games FA cup ticket significance. On the Liverpool point I know a couple of people who went who weren't even Barnsley fans. We will not make that mistake again.

The problem with the Liverpool tickets was it wasnt just one per ST holder - I think it might have been 4 per ST but might have that wrong
It will get to stubs if its one per ST as many won't bother, this game is probably more attractive to the casual fan than folk who go week in week out.
Maybe because they're the premier league champions? Or perhaps because it's a chance to see how we fare against some of the best players in the world? We've had a great run of form recently and who's to say we can't cause a cup upset? One of the best parts of being a fan of a team like Barnsley is for days like this, if we can't even hope for a win then why bother? I won't be expecting us to get anything but it's 11 men against 11 and anything can happen in 90 minutes.
all told, it's a good tie. i can understand the disappointed, as we had half an eye on a semi spot. but it's the PL champions, more cash in the bank and a chance of a lifetime for the squad - this is a huge reward for them. i'm up for it. great city, great day out
It was something daft like that, so even ST holders were left without a ticket at the expense of someone who hadn't been to Oakwell since it was all standing
I imagine the Wolves game being too soon for BFC to arrange owt but defo should be pushed for the Bolton game.
