**** off Eaststander. They're Indians, they speak Spanish (not Mexican - remember that? pff-ff!) They're South Americans. South Americans, South Americans, South Americans.
You can fanny about with geography all you like clever clogs. The line between North and south America is the mexican border. Mexicans are South Americans and you two talk *****.
Lame. Is Spain in the Americas? Are they Indians? That pedantry of yours doesn't half get you into some corners.
As does World Atlas .com Good old Windy eh - doesnt even lose an argument when he is just plain wrong http://worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/sa.htm
Like I said. You can fanny about with geography all you like. Mexicans are South Americans and you talk bab.
Yes it is. What you said was daft. And Mexicans are South Americans. You're still missing the point gibbering on about geography. Keep digging.
I'm not the one attempting to make pedantic corrections. And if I said black was black I'm sure you'd come up with an argument to claim it's white. If you're going to persue this tedious pedantry you're going to have to learn to accept when you're wrong. Mexicans are South Americans.
RE: Hello? Hello-o? Mexicans are from Mexico, Mexico is in North America, ergo Mexicans are North Americans
You can wriggle all you like. You can separate the continents any way you like and fanny about with definitions whilst conveniently ignoring the race and culture of MEXICANS but the fact remains that they are South Americans and you really ought to think twice before trying to correct people.
Critically, however Culture has nothing to do with it. South America is not a culture. It is a continent - a geographical area. The statement "Mexicans share more cultural similarity to people of South America than those in the USA and Canada" is one most would agree with. If we define continents on culture and not geography, on that premise you could say that the British share more cultural similarity with the USA than, say, Hungary. Does that mean we're North American and not European?
Heh heh. Nice try. Would you like me to open my mouth wider? Perhaps you're currently conducting a similar argument with someone else and got us mixed up? Going back to my original statement that we were playing 12 South Americans, we're talking about people not continents. The narrow-minded pedant will miss the difference. People tend not to respect geography when it comes to who they are. Mexicans are South Americans.
