According to my mate, who is Peter Whittingham's cousin, Chops got caught on his £250K wedding day, by his Mrs, shagging their bridesmaid. They were divorced within a month. He was also trying to get the Indian FA to pay £1m for his international services as his divorce (and presumably gambling pastime) had left him skint.
The first bit is true - think I've mentioned it on here before tbh. There was talk of a £1m deal to play for India as he is by far their highest profile player but the deal fell through because of internal politics I believe. Not sure of his motives for it - £1m aside :biggrin: His gambling had resurfaced when he was with us (dont think a huge casino opposite the new stadium helped lol) and was one of the reasons he was transferred.
