What do people think the club should do? Should he be given a new contract? He has been very injury prone, with two injuries putting him out for long periods.

But maybe we have not seen the best of him?
What sticks in my head is his substitute performance against Blackpool in the FA Cup. In the short time on the field he completely changed the game and sent us on our most memorable cup run.

I'm undecided. The others we are in negociation with I think we should keep.

Davey went to his bed side after his second op and said he need not worry as he was to be offered a new deal. I read it from a Coulson interview somewhere. Suspect he will be on some performance related deal i.e. not play - lower salary

I thinks he's still young enough to make a recovery. Give the lad 12 months in my opinion, although my gut feeling is he will end up playing in a lower division to carve out a career.

What sticks in my head is...

his first goal for the club when the ball was 1 yard out at head height and he decided to punch it, in the last minute against Saafend in the FA cup a few years back, got away with it too somehow.

We shouldn't write him off yet, lets try and get a season out of him and see what potential the lad has. He's not going to be on massive money yet and he could turn out to be a very good player. Keep him IMO.

Exactly right. He won't be on huge money. And if we release him, we would get nothing for him.
Let's hope he can get fit and let's see what he can do. He must be mentally quite strong to overcome two serious knee injuries. Give him a chance.
