Dean Leacock is looking set for a return to the Derby County line-up on Tuesday night.
Centre-half Leacock has missed the last two games after injuring his hand during the 2-0 defeat at home to Stoke City a fortnight ago.
But he is back in contention for a return to the side at Carrow Road tomorrow evening when the Rams take on Norwich City.
"I think Dean has got a good chance of making it," boss Billy Davies said in an interview now being screened on RamsWorld.
"He has trained for the last two days and is looking very sharp, so I'm delighted to say he has got a very good chance of being in the team."
Leacock's anticipated return is countered by news that Michael Johnson is expected to be on the sidelines for six weeks.
Johnson suffered a hamstring injury during Friday night's 5-1 win over Colchester United - though it did appear at first that he had picked up a serious-looking knee problem.
"We have got cover there - Marc Edworthy, Tyrone Mears and Jay McEveley can all play there, and we've also got Steve Howard who's also claiming to be a very good centre-back!" Davies said.
"We do have one or two guys who can fill in at centre-half.
"It's a massive blow for us though because I thought Jonno and Mooro were excellent on Friday night, up until the injury.
"We are very disappointed to lose him."

Thank FFT. Nyatanga has been outstanding and would be a major blow to lose him. I still think his positional sense at times let's him down but he gives 100%, is decent in the air.......and it makes a pleasant change to see a BFC defender with a bit of composure on the floor. Get Austin in, Hecky out and that defence will be OK.
His composure is outstanding. Great to see a defender who tries to bring the ball down rather than hoofing it into row Z, or down the field..... Sounds daft, but reminds me of a young Rio!
