As anyone seen that about him saying that clubs could pay a team a bonus to beat one of their rivals, for example if Barnsley was in a last day relegation battle with Palace, we could offer Palaces opponents a bonus to win.

    This could never happen surely.

as in regards fair play, this will never happen.

in my opinion, would be a decent idea. not breaking any real rules and its a nice earner for some clubs who have nothing to play for at the end of the season.

probably more negatives to the situation though

It shouldn't need to happen - players are paid enough to be 100% professional for 46 games however we all know the reality is different and some players are very loyal to money so it could be work. The governing bodies would never allow it though.

The fact that an issue like this is even on the table for discussion shows you how utterly 'finished' top level football now is as a sport. Makes me ashamed to call myself a fan.
