Just had a browse how much we sold him for. It was 250k? And we bought him for 150k. Why the hell did we only have him for half of season? One of the most exciting Barnsley players I’ve seen on the ball. When a look at our history of the club we’ve been soft as ****. lol

That was back when everybody had a £300k release clause. The club was much better back then though..

At least we brought players in that were capable of competing in the league we were playing in.

I agree about the release clauses though.

Think the only way we could’ve signed him was to have that release clause in his contract.

Agree to some extent. Football has changed a lot since then.

If he was with us now...he would have been sold along with about 3 or 4 others!!

This was when we sold our best players every January. I’m not sure selling them in August represents progress.

How did that season he left end did we stay in the championship? Or were we on course for the lowest points total ever when he left?

August? We also sold a first teamer last January and I’m not looking forward to this one coming!

There has been no progress at all - other than to sell players later in the summer (see Moore this year) and not properly replace them; and on last years evidence, not replace those sold in January at all.

I saw him in The Range in Donny when he was with us, buying fireworks before bonfire night. He’d not been playing for us for long, a dozen or so games.

Told him for someone who’s signed from Donny he’d won the fans round very quickly and was doing great. He grinned and said we might not like him as much soon, didn’t think much of it at the time. Two or three weeks later he was gone, halfway through November. Bizarre.

I'd forgotten all about having Mcindoe. Very good and tallented on the ball.
Wouldn't it be nice to have someone along similar lines* to encourage/bring on the current ones we've got.

    * Note said 'similar lines' not experienced (don't want owners to take mi season ticket off mi)
