I agree it's not the right time for him; I believe we need a championship hardened manager to stand any chance.
Is this the guy that was manager at Fleetwood until a few weeks ago? Played for Tranmere and Blackpool I think too!
+1 The time has passed for young managers that need to prove their selves and could potentially have their careers ruined by what we all know is almost certainly going to happen. We need someone with first hand, dirty work experience who can get us out of this mess!
I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the running as the next Bristol City manager. Done really well with Fleetwood and let's be honest, it's not going to be long when Derek McInnes gets sacked as well. Was linked with Blackpool and Burnley over the last few months so worthy of a shot for someone. Unfortunately for him, not us. Joe Joyce with Gerry Taggart as his number two for me at the moment unless something dramatic happens with someone unexpected. May cost a fee to prize both away from Newcastle and Oldham so could be unrealistic. Nicky Law could be a cheap option from Alfreton Town as could Neil Redfearn.
