I don't think Flitcroft is letting him have enough input into the team. I fear Flitcroft thinks he can do it his way after keeping us up last season, and ignoring a more experienced man alongside him.
If we are going to have a change, I think the Hill-Flitcroft era should be put to bed and start again
personally think if the club decides to make a change, they need to make a fresh change. mellon would be seen as part of the current problem, and would be under pressure from day 1
I'd be happy with Mellon being given a chance. I think he's shown already that he has the potential to be a very good manager.
Threads like this amuse me! 'I don't think flicker is letting him have enough input into the team' how the hell do we the humble fans work that out!!
Do I recall Mellon and Scott stating that when they arrived that they recognised a need to get the ball forward faster. Our system was changed, we played a faster pressing game and the results and safety followed. We no longer appear to play the faster pressing game, so who changed that then and why? I think there may be some truth in the originators comments.
