Not sure if anybody else has seen this but Forest Green have tried twice getting Micky to become their new gaffer. Think I'm right in saying their season budget is around £1 million which for the conference is ridiculous !

Glad we've turned them down and he's happy to stay think him and Martin Scott have really helped Flicker out since January

( Sorry if the link doesn't work got it from News Now )

Really surprised no one further up the league pyramid has come in for him to be manager. He did an amazing job at Fleetwood and his sacking was probably the most ridiculous there's ever been. Although Sheff Utd dismissing Danny Wilson comes close.

Maybe we are keeping him board so he can move up one if/when Flicker goes.

If Flicker is moved on I would be happy for him to be given a chance.

Hope not. We've promoted from within so many times and while we stay up, we don't move up the table.

Yes, and that Norman Hunter feller when Allan Clarke buggered off to Leeds.

    He's got a point :)

Relegation certainties last season until Flicker moved up to the hot seat.

I've seen Barnsley get promoted 4 times since I started watching in the 70s. 3 of those promotions were under managers promoted from within. When the best ever Barnsley team is discussed there are only ever two candidates: Hunter's and Wilson's, both managers promoted from back room staff. I think it's fair to say dreamboy didn't think it through.
