Am i right in saying Flicker said Mellon managed the first team and Flicker was more the overall operations guy? If so what good is keeping him in the job when its been his ideas on the pitch - unless Flicker has been pullin rank on him?

Id have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room on saturday. God knows what went off. I think Jim knew he would be going hence his reaction to his mishap (but anyhow i feel Dawson started that bad move off further up the pitch). No point going round and round on that though. Whats done is done.

I wonder what will happen to the "team" now though? Massive task for someone to sort this one out. The players look shot to pieces confidence wise. There was no cohesion or order to our play. It was just like we were trying to be robots to training drills instead of actually going out and playing football.

So as for the new guy id be happy with Wilson, Holloway, Coyle or Warnock (not that i think he'l be interested in another managers job).

However the club really need to have a good long hard think about this rebranding. There is a whole lot more wrong here than the fricking badge. Read something i found on twitter that really resonated with me and talked about us having a proper plan. We should have a barnsley style - a signature, and the manager shoudl buy into that. For me if a manager puts a team out to play exciting attacking football than he is 90% there. This season it has been boring predictable football by a lot of toilers.

I really hope the next appointment is the right one and not just a knee jerk reaction.

And last point about BFC - i think they were down right wrong to sack him yesterday and ruin Rimmos day. It would not have hurt to leave it until today. Bad form that BFC!

Why would the Club in ... perceived pecking order... sack above Mellon, (flicker) and below, (Scott and the other fella). Unless he was not seen..by the club..to be part of the shambles of this season They are on the inside..
And the we just needed someone to lead us at Brighton statement don't ring true .cos if its just one or two games, which we arn't expected to get owt any way, they could have Hecky and Bobby to lead the team or even Luke Steele....Nar am sorry, Id put a weeks wages on that if Micky Mellon was going, he'd have gone on Saturday with the rest..
Id guess that MM will be involved some where, either as no 1 and bring in a No2 to assist him or bring in Danny , Warnock or say Phelan and work with Mellon as there No 2.
He knows the players and they him..which is priceless..more than Flicker if he was out day after day on the training pitch. And also not to forget that we've given extended contracts, longer contract to some players..so they will have to be worked with by who ever takes over.

I recall MM once saying he missed being the number one and the decision maker. I feel he's is own man and will have his own ideas. I also reckon he will want the job. Remember Flicker replaced Hill.
