As i haven't actually owned a hi-fi since i was younger, i was just wondering do most (if not all) micro hi-fi systems have phono/aux ports at the back? I've bought a new record player and i need a system to play it through, but i don't want to have to spend too much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Be careful!

I bought a full size Kenwood (Series 27) a few years back, it has connections galore on the back, including one for a turntable.

    But.

When I tried to use the turntable, very little could be heard. I made some enquiries and it turns out that the turntable needs a pre-amp.

Far too much messing about, so it's used 'as-is' and I saved the old hifi to use with the turntable

Ahh thanks, the turntable i got actually has a built in pre-amp, so i'm assuming it should be ok with most hi-fi's
Ill have to look around a few shops to check i guess
    Ta mate
