They ought to have put her two hands in one for same length of time. She deserves all she gets and that could be interesting with the girlies she will be in prison with
Not with your name. PING. In all seriousness though, she sounds like an absolute barmpot. Deserves the sentence but she needs help.
correct , it would be a terirble thing to do to people with mental health issues - maybe just maybe the light may be coming on - I won't hold my breath though
Her mental health issues do not excuse what she did to the cat. Her mental health issues did not cause her to do what she did to the cat or she would not have been sent to prison by the judge. Her punishment is prison and rightly so.
Well i work within mental health inpatient services and the fact that she was sent to prison was as a consequence of capacity: she was clearly deemed to have the mental capacity to understand the consequences of her actions. This however is a little misleading. I work with people who are seriously unwell, many of whom are deemed not to have capacity. However i work with many people who are unwell yet are deemed to have capacity. Therefore being sent to prison as opposed to being sectioned does not necessarily mean that one is well, rather that one has capacity.
Personally I think that not having capacity may well be worse, as they're more likely to do it again...possibly.... And I appreciate it's a tricky line to walk...
