Where do you live?

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? (need 3 sentences please)
Very happy with the progress made under Hillcroft and I’m getting excited about going to games once more. The players that have come in have looked good and we’ve seen some of the existing players putting in their best performances in a Barnsley shirt! (O’Brien, Steele, Butterfield)

    3. Best player:
    David Perkins

    4. Biggest disappointment (player):
We had Cameron Park on loan from Middlesbrough but he didn’t make any impact

    5. Best moment:
Between beating Leeds again and Craig Davies’s winner to beat Posh 3-4

    6. Best side faced:
    Southampton

    7. Worst side faced:
    Doncaster

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window:
Keep of hold of players like Steele, Butterfield and Davies and get a replacement for Drinkwater if we cant get him on loan until the end of the season.

    9. Advice to manager:
I think he’s doing a great job but he should lay off the unnecessary remarks about our fans

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc)
    10th

    1. Where do you live? Oxspring

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? Very worrying start, but steady improvement ever since. The players that have stepped up from the lower leagues have all performed very well and we now have a team that I look forward to watching. What does Luke Steele have to do to impress the England selectors?

    3. Best player: Luke Steele

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Miles Addison

    5. Best moment: Craig Davies' winner against Peterborough showed great heart after throwing away a 3 goal lead.

    6. Best side faced: Southampton, or Ipswich Town (second half)

    7. Worst side faced: Doncaster Rovers, or Ipswich Town (first half)

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Keep hold of Steele and Davies, get one or two of the others on longer contracts, strengthen squad in certain areas (central midfield, central defence).

    9. Advice to manager: More of the same on the pitch, less of the same in post-match interviews.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) 13th

    3. Best player: Jim McNulty.

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): None.

    5. Best moment: Winning at Leeds.

    6. Best side faced: Southampton.

    7. Worst side faced: Doncaster Rovers.

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Keep Butterfield. Sign Drinkwater on longer deal assuming he's fit.

    9. Advice to manager: Keep doing your own thing. Ignore those looking to be offended.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) 12th.

    2. What is your assessment of season so far?
More exciting football with a team that looks like it wants to play for the manager. Good achievement to be mid-table at this stage

    3. Best player:
Could be one of half a dozen. Have to say Steele but Perkins the most impressive signing with Vaz Te, Drinkwater, Davies and McNulty not far behind. Butterfiled much improved. O'Brien a revelation.

    4. Biggest disappointment (player):
McEverley still not good enough but no cvhange on lst season, so I'll take easy way out and say Haynes for injuries!

    5. Best moment:
Speed and clinical finishing of Gray's goal on the counter attack

    6. Best side faced:
Middlesbrough. Southampton got away with a keeper mistake and the points.

    7. Worst side faced:
Have to say Bristol, who beat us.

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window:
Left back needed and secure services fo midfielders ideally both Drinkwater and Butterfield new deal.

    9. Advice to manager:
Don't go 442 to accomodate players.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc)
15th - small squad take its toll. But will be finacially set for next season when most of others wont be

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? Happy so far, players are trying to play football and Hills summer signings have performed better than anticipated.

    3. Best player: Butterfield

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Goran Lovre , really thought he would be a top signing at Championship level

    5. Best moment: sitting on padded seats at Brighton

    6. Best side faced: Middlesborough

    7. Worst side faced: Doncaster

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Keep Butterfield and Steele sign Drinkwater till end of season

    9. Advice to manager: Keep your gob shut when a microphone is put in front of it.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) 14th

    2. Would have seriously considered terminating a 46 year relationship with the club if the previous manager had stayed. Have greatly enjoyed the season to date. Keith Hill, on a football rather than PR level it has to be said, has restored my belief that football doesn't have to be just about money.

    3. Jacob Butterfield

    4. Cameron Park

    5. Beating Doncaster very comfortably and proving it's not just about money (or so-called marque players)

    6. Southampton

    7. Doncaster Rovers (by some distance)

    8. Ensure Jacob Butterfield and Luke Steele remain at the club

    9. Just try reminding yourself that we fans should not necessarily take the blame every time something goes wrong. He could try doing a Fergy and blame the referee, the linesmen, or even the colour of our away shirts. But leave the fans alone.

    1. Where do you live? Barnsley, for the moment.

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? Terrible start, steady improvement, pleased with progress, impressed with the team work ethic and style of play, much improved entertainment and all round enjoyment compared to previous season.

    3. Best player: Luke Steele

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Miles Addison

    5. Best moment: Craig Davies' winning goal at Peterboro after we'd coughed a 3 goal lead

    6. Best side faced: Southampton

    7. Worst side faced: Coventry

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Sell to balance books due to dwindling attendances. But hopefully the manager will unearth a gem or two, in order of urgency, a left back, a creative midfield player (replacement/competition) and a combative midfield player (if Drinkwater is out long term).

    9. Advice to manager: Not all fans are stupid.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) My prediction is we'll get relegated.

    2. What is your assessment of season so far?

Interesting, very very interesting. I'm enjoying the football, just need the atmosphere to improve.

    3. Best player:

Perkins, so small, yet he must have legs built of lead, he is impossible to knock over or push off the ball. A real terrier.

    4. Biggest disappointment (player):

Addison, I had high hopes but he's not bothered.

    5. Best moment:

4th goal against Peterborough, brilliant finish and great story-line.

    6. Best side faced:

    Ipswich second half.

    7. Worst side faced:

    Ipswich first half.

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window:

Whatever Hill says needs doing is fine by me, he seems to have got it right so far.

    9. Advice to manager:

Shut it! But keep up the good work, in Hill we trust.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc)

15th will do for me, any higher and I'll ber very pleased.

What is your assessment of season so far? Better than anticipated but just when we seem to be getting somewhere the wheels fall off!

    3. Best player: Jacob Butterfield

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Addison

    5. Best moment: Vaz Te's 8 second wonder goal against Palace

    6. Best side faced: Southampton

    7. Worst side faced: Coventry

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Don't let any of the first team go

    9. Advice to manager: Shave that stupid tash off

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) 14th

    1. Where do you live? Huddersfield.

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? Very good. I would have taken our current position and points total at the start of the season.

    3. Best player. Craig Davies. We've now got a proven goal scorer that we've been craving for years.

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Cameron Park. Waste of a loan on a player rarely fit.

    5. Best moment: Matty Done scoring at Reading back in August. After our opening home games i'll be honest I wasn't looking forward to such a long travel and thought it would have been a waste of money. Instead it turned into a great day out with over 300 fans there getting behind the team start to finish. His goal was a turning point.

    6. Best side faced: Cardiff City who took us to bits, only for us to make the score look a bit false with a couple of late goals.

    7. Worst side faced: Doncaster Rovers. The players didn't look up for it at all and it was one sided the whole game. Usually teams will have a short 10 min period of pressure but they didn't even have that.

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Sell Buttercup if he doesn't sign up in the next couple of weeks, bring in a defender on loan and keep hold of our strikers.

    9. Advice to manager: Get JOB and Vaz Te signed up to longer contracts so we don't lose them both for nothing next summer. Extended the contract of Davies so clubs next summer don't see about getting him on the cheap knowing he's only 12 months left.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) Bottom of top half so around 12th.

    1. Where do you live?
    Cudworth/Barnsley

    2. What is your assessment of season so far?
As usual, we've had a decent first half of the season, setting ourselves up for the post christmas capitulation again. At least were playing good football, scoring goals, and until the last few weeks, looking more solid at the back than usual. I'd be happy if the season finished now.

    3. Best player:
Luke Steele, makes some terrific stops, and has been mistake free for the majority. Just ahead of David Perkins, who has been everywhere.

    4. Biggest disappointment (player):
Nile Ranger hasn't really lived up to his reputation.

    5. Best moment:
The dramatic win over Peterborough, and the goals we scored in that game, good advert for this division.

    6. Best side faced:
Southampton were a very solid outfit

    7. Worst side faced:
Coventry were awful, and Leicester didn't live upto expectations, Doncaster a close third.

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window:
We could do with a creative midfielder, albeit we've had a decent midfield this season, but we'll need to replace Drinkwater if he doesn't come back, and Butterfield if he leaves.

    9. Advice to manager:
Keep up the good work, and do all you can to keep hold of Butterfield and Steele, and sign Vaz Te up on a longer deal please.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc)
Heart says a strong top half finish, head says lower mid table after another post christmas slump

    2. What is your assessment of season so far? Better than expected and positive going into the festive period (which hasn't been the case for many a year).

    3. Best player: Luke Steele / Craig Davies

    4. Biggest disappointment (player): Cameron Park

    5. Best moment: Elland Road

    6. Best side faced: Not sure - Soton and Boro are hard to judge cos we were poor. Ipswich (2nd half)

    7. Worst side faced: Donny / Ipswich (1st half)

    8. What needs to be done in the January transfer window: Depends if we sell or not ...... if current squad stays as is then maybe get a couple of squad players on loan, including a commanding defender who can suss set-pieces.

    9. Advice to manager: Keep calm and carry on ........ and try and avoid the conflict that sometimes appear in your musings. We have been very impressed - please realise that.

    10. Where will your team finish: (eg 1st, 10th, 15th etc) 12th
