With Drinkwater out, Hill must recall Doyle today. Get him a day's training with the squad under his belt tomorrow as on Friday they won't be doing much and travelling.

We need to stick with the 4-5-1 I think. That formation needs someone alongside Perkins who can break up the play. We have seen that Butterfield is ineffective in the middle with defensive duties. He needs to be at the top of the triangle.

If wet get Doyle back I'd slot him in for Drinkwater and McEverley or Edwards in for Wiseman. If we don't recall him, on not wanting to go 4-4-2, I'd have to say put Bobby or Addison (yes!) in the middle.

    Steele
    Wiseman Foster McNulty McEverley
    Perkins Hassell
    O'Brien Butterfield Vaz Te
    Davies

Centre midfield certainly seems the place we lack most depth.

I have faith in Hillcroft but may be a little worried if he lined up:

    Steele
    Hassell Foster McNulty McEverley
    O'Brien Perkins Butterfield Vaz Te
    Ranger Davies

Would certainly get us a goal but basically 5 defending 5 attacking

Doubt that Doyle could be called back and if he could it would just be another midfield midget dealing with an hard tackling set of hoof ball football players. I actually think we need Addison to play God help me. At least then we'd have one of our four midfielders who's tall and big built to deal with the direct play of West Ham.

Has he made a tackle in a red shirt yet? You need to be able to move to make a tackle

Think he's the only option we have to stop our four midget midfield being overrun on the defensive side of things by lots of 6ft plus guys who weigh 12 stone plus.
