Who else is worried about the midfield on Saturday? Who is going to play alongside McPhail???

On radio Sheff this morning, Ritchie said we are ok, Wroe was back in the squad  Also he said Austin could move across, I guess he ment to CB with Reid going into the middle!!

Take it Carbon is still injured, that's been a joke this season! I would leave Reid and Kay at the back with Austin and Hecky at FB's. Got plenty of wingers in the squad now, just short on a GOOD CM to cover either McPhail or Howard!!

Don't know waht is going to happen!

    Be fair, Carbon isn't injured.

He was on compassionate leave as his father is seriously ill.

Matt wouldn't be able to give his best with those problems on his mind and neither would any one of us if we were asked to play under the same circumstances.

All being well, he will be back this weekend and slot in alongside Kay with Reid most likely moving into midfield and Austin and Heckingbottom at right and left

Wroe will most likely be on the bench.

The lads will give it their all but we must get behind them as we did in the second half last week

    Agree.

It's in the Club's hands now though.

A Horlock type figure could make or break our season.

The 'cover' that Ritchie speaks of, will not be enough, now that we have lost Hassel for possibly 6 weeks.

    well said

i am slightly worried about the midfield and maybe we should bring someone in. As you say though if Carbon is back reid can move into the middle. Id rather we had an actual midfielder though. But if Ritchie doesnt want to bring someone in i will trust his judgement.

And get behind the super reds!

if we havent got the midfielders, why try and accomodate and put players in positions that they dont play? personally i think we should go for a 4,3,3 and take it to swansea?!

It'll be interesting to see what Ritchie and Holden decide to do.

Ritchie has to get it absolutely right on Saturday as the match is so crucial

I wouldn't want reid in midfield. He is a defender, pure and simple.

Sounds like Swansea won't have a defence anyway as Wolves rejected loan deal

    but....

I am sure he would fight and get stuck in for the ball..

not saying he is the answer by no means, but am sure he would get stuck in though.
