I have to put my cards on the table here and say I'm not (currently) a Tyke but a Michael Mifsud supporter. I guess I would say the following, but in my opinion his treatment by Coventry has been nothing short of shocking. He was, after all, their top goal scorer last season. I hope he comes to Barnsley, and if he does I hope you all get behind him and your current manager, who will have worked wonders to negotiate the deal. He is a confidence player - give him confidence and he will outspeed and run rings round any defence. I look forward to coming to Hillsborough on Tuesday and becoming Miffytyke!

Nice one Miffy, good to see people behind our manager, even if you arent a Barnsley fan.

there are a lot of extremely random people signing up lately posting really positive reviews of all aspects of the club aren't there. We've got random lovers of academy's the world over telling us how great the barnsley academy is being run, random supporters of individual footballers backing our manager, random websites being set up by people reachable through the oakwell switchboard etc.

hey super tyke I have no random news other than being a fan of a player I believe is going to play for your club. You will get a new fan who will cheer your team...no I'm not born and bred Barnsley....but if my voice helps cheer on your team and manager to stay in the championship you should welcome it.......

Lets hope with all the rumours regarding our manager Mifsud is a player who can keep his mouth shut.

They are only rumours mind, not substantiated just there have been so many of them

    RE: pmsl

I didn't say that the Barnsley Academy was being extremly well run. I have no knowledge of the running of it just the costs. I said that it does not cost as much as some would have you believe.
I said that there has not been a creditable alternative put forward.
I also said that the members are kidding themselves if they think that Barnsley are in a position to get the best kids in the area.
I believe that in amongst the current Academy scholars there are two or three who will play for this club's 1st team.
