Where did this figure £8k come from?
How would the Anti Davey Muppets feel if in fact Mifsuds demands were £12k a week?

i posted that cov fans were saying that's what he's on now no one can say what he is asking for. my point was if he wants 8k we should pay it. on the other hand he may well have asked for 12k or more, like you said which we aern't going to pay
Agreed. A bit like when people on here say "We can't afford player X, or manager Y, because they're on £Z a week". The only person who knows what we can and can't afford is Patrick Cryne. Ultimately, he controls the purse strings and I, for one, trust him to do what's best for Barnsley Football Club.
We are more likely to get relegated without geting a championship striker in. We cannot do the great escape every year, investment in the playing squad is needed at this moment in time.
RE: We are more likely to get relegated without geting a championship striker in. I'm afraid that you don't have the right to demand that other people spend their money for your benefit.
I think you're right It's a dangerous game and falls short of Mr Cryne's aims for this season, progress up the table and no relegation battle. At the start of the Summer transfer window, those aims appeared achievable. They may still be met, I don't know, but I doubt it. If progress is the aim, then I find it difficult to fathom how it can be achieved without better players being brought in, or promoting talented youngsters from the Reserves and/or Academy. However, I'm somewhat bemused as to where this figure of a £15M windfall for all Championship clubs next season has come from. I've not seen anything official in writing about it, so hopefully someone can enlighten me.
Bristol wouldn't pay Mifsud's wage demands. What makes anyone think we would? They have McIndoe who left us for a huge pay rise, if Bristol can't compete then why could we?
Can't see why we would ever have had any chance of getting him and why we would even bother.
P.S. JC, please stop making stuff up, £12k wtf?

I think that sum is right Big Lil......makes me worry about the £750k first division teams get The gap we see between the Premiership and Championship will be reapeated between Championship teams and the rest, we must stay up this season even if we have to spend more than we want to. Its one player we are talking about....how much did we lose on Mossto, say £400k? not to mention wages wasted on Chrtsensen, Johnson and the like. would have paid MM wages for 12 months. Maybe saved us £14 million in the long run.
RE: I think that sum is right Big Lil......makes me worry about the £750k first division teams get £15m is fantasy. It has been said already that it will be £3m per Championship club. It may have changed a bit but not much more.
RE: I think you're right Early estimates suggest just under 3 mill compared to the 1.2 mill we receive at the moment.
That's a huge difference Between the £15M & £3m, £12M in fact. I knew that A Level in Maths would come in useful one day!!
RE: Bristol wouldn't pay Mifsud's wage demands. Just following the trend for people to post rumour as fact.
There's that much made up stuff on here I thought I'd join them.
My point was no one knows what his wage demands were.

RE: Bristol wouldn't pay Mifsud's wage demands. But it`s very rare you are wrong JC so dont start playing games or you may lose your tag as the oracle.
I did hear that Ward wanted 12k a week, right or wrong I don't know. Thing is when a club has a wage structure they have to be very careful with regard to the players already at the club. For instance if you had been doing a job for a couple of years and someone came in and got paid more for doing the same as you, would you be happy???
Johnson said it wasn't down to money But that he didn't feel he'd fit into their mentality or something having chatted to him.
