    something av nivver understood that

    football touting is illegal yet touting tickets for gigs is almost welcomed

    Gig touting is mostly not welcomed

    Its despised by most gig goers- especially the people who get loads of tickets for events such as V and the arctic monkeys gigs, then sell them on for vast profit.</p>

    The only reason football touting is banned, especially on ebay, is because the FA put their foot down. Unfortunately there isn't a single body to stop people re-selling gig tickets, so if its not made illegal, or ebay stop allowing sales, it will continue to grow. Ebay won't do that cos they make loads of bunce</p>
