We may turn to him if Thalhammer doesn’t get a work permit according to the ever reliable Alan Nixon. Done a decent job at MK Dons. Will be one for the summer though if there’s truth in it as they are in the play offs themselves
Given that Mike Williamson was a centre half and MK Don's have conceded 21 goals in their last 7 games he sounds perfect.
This is my issue. Thalhammer can get a work permit. The criteria is outlined in this article. https://analyticsfc.co.uk/blog/2022/04/06/brexitball-what-about-the-coaching-staff/ he has been a manager for three years at band 1-5 clubs being Lask (band 4) and Brugge/Oostende (band 2).
Williamson has done really well in both jobs he's had and would be happy to see him given a go at Oakwell. Not sure how well he'd go down with other fans though as he's another manager that prefers a possession heavy style of play which many fans hated Collins for.
Reading what somebody else posted he’d not managed for over a year / and had not managed for 24 months consecutively so didn’t qualify .
I reckon it's true that he wants to come and that the work permit is the issue but we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.
But if he has the points how cant he have permit ? It may be a rumour on the back of a truth? No idea mate. Might all be true. Might all be ballhocks.
But we don't know if there is? I heard it was going to be announced tomorrow? Before that I heard after season has finished. We just have no clue bud
Not managing for over a year isn’t part of the criteria. If that were the case Huddersfield wouldn’t have been able to appoint their manager. Regards the 24 consecutive months it’s either or not both. So the manager either has to have been a manager at any number of clubs for 3 years as long as it’s in the specified leagues (which Thalhammer has). OR 24 consecutive months at one club like Schopp when we appointed him.
