Nowt to do wi' me. I phoned someone who's working tonight and they're aware of it. Not sure why they can't fix that. The sound-johnnies usually just put a delay on the commentary circuit, so I figure there's summat more problematic going on.
Not sure which is worse Cutting to the adverts and missing a goal, or hearing the commentary team cheer for a goal before you've seen the ball go in the net . . . . . .
RE: Nowt to do wi' me. Do you also know why is it that when football is on BBC3 there are black lines at the side. No matter what setup I try i can't get it the full length of the screen. Is that a set up problem or a broadcast thing? It is full wide screen on other channels.
Blame the Italians. Host broadcaster covering game in 4:3. BBC just giving it to you as the match-director intended. If they could join the 21st Century and shoot the game 16:9, that's how you'd get it.
RE: Blame the Italians. Don't they have widescreen in Italy? But I think it is like that wherever it is coming from when on BBC3. It could be ITV2 though.
No it isn't. Channel not an issue. You'll get it back how its given to us. We can't make 4:3 pictures widescreen without losing around 40% of the available information.
It's because the match is 4:3 BBC put the 4:3 picture in a 16:9 frame but you are watching it in the correct ratio rather than annoying "stretchy-vision"
