Good job he changed ends at half time, I was beginning to think someone had planted a tree on the edge of the box.

Whats Hill thinking of loaning this guy, he's not mobile enough for the championship

Totally agree with you on that one. He played centre half for derby didn't he?

Maybe move foster to right back?

hmmm teams too deep and hes not got the space to do is thing, ie switch the ball.

he tried hard yesterday and even got other side of the ball at times.

theres problems but its not miles fault really.

it was without the ball that was most concerning. boro sauntered straight through the middle of us numerous times, totally bypassing addison and doyle as if they weren't there.

Correct, Boro did the same ball about 8 times, getting them two goals and at least three great saves from Steele.

Personally I think the back four plus Steele isn't the main issue in the last two games. The midfield seems so weak and disorganised the opposing team are strolling straight past them far to easily and this leads to far too much pressure on the back four. Obviously no defensive is perfect and will make mistakes, but the midfield needs to give them more protection.

2 goals? one was from a corner and one was offside and one was from a mistake off edwards.

thats it. the problem was for me that emnes and mcdonald kept coming short in to that space between the defence and midfield.

our whole defence could do with changing, but it isn't going to happen.

I have to agree. Teams are coming through midfield as though they aren’t there so the back four are getting no protection and when the ball does get up front the ridiculous tactic of playing one up creates a problem in that we don’t hold the ball up and it comes straight back at us. Its just a constant wave of pressure for the back line. The fact that some of the back line don’t look good enough doesn’t help of course.
