Asked if he could see himself having a future at Barnsley.

Ruefully commented about situation tight with money and likely to get moreso and then struggled for words to say he'd rather sit on his bum or in the reserves earning extortionate amounts rather than earn a living.

Poor show Miles, enjoy your return to Derby when it arises, shortly hopefully.

Not heard his interview, so can't comment.

The guy is a poor footballer without any gracefulness whatsoever and a turning circle akin to the Titanic. What he does excel at is breaking up play and just generally being a nuisance around the middle of the park with his great engine. The thing is - we could get someone to do that role from pretty much anywhere, and for much, much less.

Agree, his mobility is shocking. Breaks play up ok now and then but you have to say Hassell could do a similar job and get about the pitch more. What we gain with a big lump, we lose with speed and ability to find a decent pass forward.

Great Engine? Doesn't that mean he can get up and down the pitch, which he clearly can't?

Doyle is a much better player than Addison who is as good a footballer as I am an ice dancer........

The most worrying aspect of that is his comment about the money situation being likely to tighter.

Well, he clearly did against Leeds United...

He clearly did against Nottingham Forest...

I've not seen many more matches in which he's featured, but in the ones that he has, he's showed very good stamina for me.

I like Doyle, as too Haynes. Keith Hill clearly has a problem with them though.

The most worrying aspect for me is how many players expect £500k a year for sitting on their bums irrespective of talent, endeavour or success

Football is a feckin shambles isn't it. No play, no pay - well the principle anyway, all the good players would want to be in somebody's starting line up then. If you don't play you get a basic wage, say £50k p.a for Championship, bonuses for playing etc on top. Bit simplified but I am sure you get the picture. It's the only way.

Yep money has completely ruined the game. Something is not right when poor to average players can become millionaires for doing something not particularly well. Fecking Sky have a lot to answer for.

He got up and down say a third of the pitch at best. Awful laiker.

Yes, simply they're earning too much.

I've not heard the interview so can only go on what you've said, and I don't see anything wrong with it. He probably would be happy to take a paycut to join us if he knew it would lead to regular first team footie. However we've not given him that in his time with us so he's better off not playing at Derby for more money than not being a regular for us on less money.

Listened to the interview, and I clearly believe it is all about money. Very average players demanding stupid wages for mediocre talent

I thought Doyle did a better job at that, Addison's only advantage over Doyle was/is his height so he wins more headers and is better at set pieces for defending, apart from that think Doyle is better. I guess he had big fall-out with Keith as I'm sure the management team know Doyle's better than Addison, hence their preference to pick him until he got shipped out to Preston.
