Thought I'd detail some of the performances of the lads. I'll try and keep it short.
Lost 2-0 in the end, but I enjoyed it. Played some good football at times.

Dibble- seemed comfortable most of the time, but wasn't called on much. Had to tip one over early on, but rest of shots were straight at him. Couldn't do much about first goal, cracking finish. Was maybe slightly off his line. Was put under pressure by Holgate(?), smashed his clearance in the face of their lad, who managed to get back up and tap it in.

Bree- only played first 45. First time I've seen him actually, and he does look a good prospect. Composed for his age, but did give up possession once or twice. Glimpses of quality, however.

Cowgill- solid performance. Never really troubled by anything, on the ground or in the air.

Mvoto- also solid for the most part. Bit sloppy on the ball however. Would love him to come good.

RNL- played left back. Never a left back. Not because he wasn't decent, mind. He was. But you could tell that he was always itching to go forward. Must be frustrating for him. Hit a fine shot from range early on, which brought a good save. Cut in from the left incredibly well on one occasion, and played a lovely pass for Pages, who couldn't find his feet, and passed it to the keeper. Still think he could come good.

McKnight- played well. Looked good going forward, and played a great ball through to Oates, who should have done a lot better, with space and time.

McHale- mixed bag. Again, looked good going forward at times, but gave the ball away a couple times.

Digby- good performance for me. Broke play up quite well. Couple of misplaced passes, but was generally good at finding his man. Very vocal. Always wanted the ball, and often offered good advice to others. Potential captain, I reckon.

Maris- largely anonymous from what I saw. Can't think of much to say. Hit a nice looking shot late on that went just over.

Nana- still likes a run at defenders. Didn't quite come off for him today, but he looked good at times. Definitely got some pave about him, and a decent shot too. There was once instance when he should maybe have played the ball out wide into space, but you could tell he was never gonna. His strike was good in the end, and just wide. Nothing wrong with a forward being a tad greedy at times.

Oates- had a bit of a shocker, really. Two very good chances missed in the first half, and a couple more he blazed over in the second. Did well to dig one out of his feet with bodies around at one point, which curled just over the top corner. Committed a silly foul late on when we were building pressure, which drew a groan out of most watching. Could tell he was a bit frustrated with himself.

Sorry if everything I've said is utter ********, but on the whole I didn't think there was much between the two sides.
