    Anyone objecting to the Battling Barnsley tag need look no further than tonight's match to understand why, for many of us, the phrase is so important.

    The Reds fought from start to finish tonight, in every area of the pitch, and came out worthy winners. Based on results since Struber took the reins, and with a team spirit epitomised by the final two performances, it would have been an absolute tragedy if Barnsley had not survived to play Championship football again next season.

    Congratulations you beautiful, battling Reds!

    PS the mini riot kicked off in our front room in the 91st minute. And everyone else's, I dare say.
