No, it means we can all relax. Someone was on here the other day, casting around malicious rumours that we were yet again **** at football and in the relegation zone to drop to our lowest level for nearly 40 years. Fortunately it's just malicious rumour milling.
I wasn't impressed with that turn of phrase. At all. We had a long thread on here the other day discussing the subject and I didn't see any 'mischievous rumour milling'. People were discussing PC's article in the programme and coming up with different interpretations. I thought the article was open to interpretation. Nothing wrong with clarifying exactly what was meant, although I'm still not sure myself and have more questions on the subject, but if some people came to a different conclusion it doesn't make them mischievous or mean they were attempting to do harm or undermine anyone.
Well a few more of these meetings and the mischievous rumour mill will be no more. Thank goodness I say. Silly people giving their view on things and occasionally taking the piss.
Having submitted the original question and being there on the night, I believe the rumour milling comment (or whatever exactly it was - that MAY not have been an exact quote) was to do with the suggestion that Danny was unhappy because the board had been picking his players. NOT to any discussions into the article you mention.
