We bossed the game first half, took our foot off the pedal and lost the initiative a bit in the second. We were always going to win and I reckon we'll top this group comfortably. We've got a lot more than that.
Thing is... Despite the dominance, we couldn't kill the game off and contrived in the second half to make a poor team look good. Owen's still half a yard off the pace but, without him, we were toothless. There's no doubt we'll qualify, but we need to up the standards in readiness for the better standard of teams we'll encounter later on. Plus side, Joe Cole was superb, as were Gerrard and Beckham in the first half.
Worrabart Motson shitting his sen. Even Bournemouth create more chances than Paraguay.Thats not forgiving fact that Sven dunt really know what day it is.
If we're going to top the group, we need to score loads agaist Trinidad & Tobago. I can seriously see our group going to goal difference as we'll probably draw with the Swedes as we never seem to beat them.
RE: Come on Windy Geordies where I am weren't not much better - booing and cheering Paraguay in the end.
