I've been saying that for weeks. And as for the money issue, I reckon PC is holding back so any new manager has cash to spend!
IMHO I think his passion on the touchline would be a start I know Davey has all the lincences from UEFA but he has no man management skills and anyone in the game will admit that nothing other than competetive games means anything , putting cones out on the training field and organising litttle exercises is all well and good if in the heat of battle on Saturday afternoon you can get your messages and adjustments across or realise Plan A is not working and change things. I , personally would rather see an animated boss trying to encourage and change things arround than see a Dummy out of Burtons window standing there with his arms folded doing nothing other than formulating his excuse soundbites for post match press.
It really doesn't make much difference what the manager does on the touch line. Ask a player if he notices what a manger is doing on the touch line. He will tell you he never notices because he's too focused on his own game. I don't know where you were looking today but when ever I glanced at Davey he was shouting and waving his arms about trying to drive the team forward.
tbh I think Billy Feckin Connelly could do better than Davey. He would at least have a bit of imagination!
and while Im at it why perpetuate this myth of negative fans at Brnsley tell me any club in the land whose fans would be any more enthusiastic given what we are having to put up with.Barnsley have no bigger % of negative fans than any other.
