Why such a sense of depression on this board? Davey has gone, we have a bright new manager yet there is a sense of gloom and despondency around. Is it a realisation maybe that sacking Davey was not the answer, or are the good folk of Barnsley only happy when they're unhappy?
who's miserable apart from s.m. i've backed us at 16/5 on skybet to win tomorrow. i hope MR sticks to his words, gets players playing in proper positions and strengthens the squad.
That's because the vast majority of fans are completley underwhelmed by the appointment of our new boss. It will take a few wins and a return to playing with some passion and style to turn the mood round.
That's right, we should be happy given we've appointed a new manager. It's not like we're still bottom of the league with a single point and on a four match losing streak. Oh, hang on.... The mood has lifted a bit since the Welshman's departure, but the realists on here realise how far we have yet to go, a new manager is just a start. I'm not that unhappy anyway.
Sure. However there are some appointments that really inspire confidence. Then again there are others that just don't!
Whilst I wouldnt have picked Robins, for once the club decided who they wanted, went out and got him, and with a little bit of messin around here he is. I'll think he'll do OK, hopefully even better than that.
I'll take a few wins, wi maybe a bit o passion.
Fook the pretty football for nar - the overriding priority is points and I don't give a **** how we get em in the short term.
This man has a winning mentality and a winning track record. If he gets anywhere near his Rovrum record here - 9 and 10 away wins in the last 2 seasons for example - I'll be well satisfied.
