Did anybody do well? A few weeks ago we were in the top six and looking to push on. We all knew we were in a false position because we couldn’t win our home games. We have been found out and we’ve found our level. A good coach takes the potential of the players in the team and makes them better. This starts with them thinking that they’re better than they would otherwise be. Telling them that they have to prove that they are top six or they are on their way takes all the pressure and puts it on the players. It’s also an empty threat because we can’t go out and recruit a new team In this case, what does the coach add? The lads are playing without belief and we still need some points.
We looked good first half when on the front foot. When we came under pressure we crumbled. We didn't get a kick for the first 25 minutes of the second half and could have had no complaints if we were beaten by considerably more. Even without any strikers we've scored plenty of goals, on par with everyone in the play-off positions, but if you get at us we fall to pieces. (Un)Interesting stat: Scored: 43 - Conceded: 43 - Points: 43 Pity it isn't 42 No team in the top 7 has conceded more than 31 and that's Wycombe who are a banzai team and have scored 56.
Benson was anonymous. The new right back was awful. John Lewis ran about but didn't make an impact. Dyer managed a soft header on target.
