missing out??!!!

    lets get one thing clear bfc have not missed out on signing anyone,the board are too tight to offer any realistic financial support for quality players.
    this is the championship not league 1 or 2 you cant just snap up a quality player for 50 grand that money will buy you tommy wright for example.sorry but as someone else has posted bfc=ZERO ambition and now im starting to think why should i cough up £20+ of my hard earned cash week in week out when the club obviously just want scrape through this season by the skin of their teeth spending as little cash as they can

    They have a debt which is getting bigger.  I appreciate its not such an exciting approach as gambling on a couple of big signings but I reckon chances of having a BFC to watch next season are a lot higher.  Loan signings.

    That's why we've got nowt .....

    .... cos folks like you won't cough up your cash. If we got 15,000+ through the turnstiles regularly (as this team deserve cos they are worth watching by the way) we would be in a far stronger position but we've got 10,000 regulars and 10,000 hangers on who prefer to moan on forums like this and just turn out for the so called 'big' games.

    Lets get another thing straight, panic buying 2 players today won't make us into play-off contenders or certainties to stay up. We can get players in on loan from tomorrow if we want but we are working within a tight budget to get the club on a sound financial footing.

    Less panicking, less moaning and more supporting, that's my message to the 'missing' ten thousand or so reds fans

    Where have you heard this !!!!!
    Can someone produce a link that says Barnsley FC have no money
    Because I keep hearing all this ballaks about not having any money
    But I have yet to see evidence of this
    Even last season in a lower league Shep said there is money to spend on players

    So stop foooking saying it..........ITS BALLAX !!!!!

    why are people hangers on who moan on this board? ive supported bfc for 25 years and spent thousands on the club so if i want to moan ill bloody well moan,better players bigger crowds obvious fact i would have thought

    did you take the time to read the accounts that were published?

    those official business accounts? - remember, the ones they have to produce and get right for companies house? no? thought not.

    latest not available less, but Shep says unaudited to 31 5 2006 show loss of £400K.</p>

    Means deficiency of £5.3m. No third party guarentee (PC) no club. </p>

    Also loans still to be repaid on Oakwell community assets £1.5m</p>

    They are in debt to PC
    If he wants the money back we are in trouble
    Other than that we have an opperating loss that Shep said would be wiped off if we got through the play offs
    We did that
    We have sold a player for £1 Million
    Shep says we need 11,000 attendance to cover operating costs
    We will get this plus during this season in the Championship League
    We will not get this if we go DOWN
    So we have two options
    1) we can spend a bit to get security
    Or
    2) we can mend and mek do and risk going down
    Today we found out what direction we are going in
