As chief executive you can't just go completely silent though. And going from wanting to be the new presenter for sky sports news to suddenly hiding better than bin laden isn't a wise move either. It looks too much like you're hiding and shirking your responsibilities

What do folk want Mansford to do? He cant hire or fire anyone without authority from his bosses, He doesn't pick the team or tactics and he cant be held responsible for poor performances. He goes out and deals with contracts for players the club agree a fee or loan deal for that I presume the manager has identified as a player he wants. If anyone is to blame for the performance and league position its lee Johnson and the players.
